We accomplish this by measuring each shooter’s incremental growth. This provides an intimate knowledge of the student’s strengths and more importantly areas of need. Fundamentals are introduced, and then methodically reinforced in and out of class. We believe in creating a push-pull learning environment to assure that all measures of understanding are achieved. Every Module is designed to build on the last and internalize each principle covered. This begins with Introduction (MOD I), then Application(MOD II) and finally Validation (MOD III).

As a training organization we reinvest a substantial amount of resources back into continued education, to assure that what we offer you is vetted, tested and up to date.

We are a privately owned and operated LLC with the means to provide exactly what is needed for our clients. Phalanx Academy LLC was built on the foundation that VII Training Group so rigorously tested, and officially launched operations as a Limited Liability Company on the 5th of July, 2016. We are honored to provide training and certifications for multiple Military, Law Enforcement & Security agencies and businesses across the state. Some of note are both major Tactical Units for Alaska, along with the very security team that protects our capital building in Juneau, AK.

With over 18 years of experience in the security and protective services industry, Joe is committed to continued education and professional development to ensure accountability to his teams, clients, and the information he provides. He is equally committed to fostering strong working relationships across all levels of an operation, recognizing that effective communication, mutual respect, and teamwork are essential to maintaining operational efficiency and achieving mission objectives.

For a decade, Joe served as the Senior Training Manager for the Department of Homeland Security/Federal Protective Service contract, overseeing operations throughout Alaska while also supporting federal facilities in Washington and Oregon. In this capacity, he conducted training both within and outside the Federal Security Academies in Firearms Training and Qualifications, Use of Force, Report Writing, Expandable Baton, Oleoresin Capsicum, Defensive Tactics, Control Tactics, Federal SOPs, Standard Security Policies and Procedures, Low-Light Tactics, Handcuffing and Restraints, and Weapons and Explosives Detection for officers assigned to secured federal facilities throughout Alaska.

Joe currently supports multiple Alaska Police Standards Council compliant law enforcement agencies and Alaska Department of Public Safety-compliant security firms in the areas of training, operational readiness, and regulatory compliance. He has also served as a Team Leader on numerous EP and PSD assignments, supporting Close Protection, CAT, and QRF elements.
