It is an honor to serve the community of the Mat-Su Borough!
Objective:
Empower the Matanuska-Susitna Borough residents to understand their rights and abilities to make informed and effective decisions to ensure their safety when law enforcement is not present. Skills will include an intellectual foundation encompassing laws, doctrines and a varying range of de-escalation options. These options will include safe practices for reading threat indicators, risk avoidance and the introduction of tools such as flashlights, pepper spray and sirens. This will be complimentary to the physical skills that include the ability to safely handle and deploy a firearm in the event deadly force is necessary. Rental Firearms are available at NO CHARGE!
